 Blues interested in Berardi

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea have a close eye on Italy forward Domenico Berardi.

The Italian impressed at Euro 2020 this summer and is fresh off the back of another sparkling campaign with Sassuolo.

Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are also talked up as potential admirers

Move edging close?

It appears that Chelsea defender Ian Maatsen is close to joining Coventry City after Sky Blues' boss Mark Robins confirmed an imminent incoming after their pre-season defeat to Cheltenham Town.

He said: “Next week we will have someone coming in and that’s been a situation where, again, yes it’s on, no it’s not because it can’t happen yet. But without going into any details it’s going to happen next week.

“So there’s one done, one hopeful we can get over the line and then there’s two others that I want to try to do."

The Dutchman has been strongly linked with a move to Coventry.

Chelsea open to Werner sale

On the topic of Chelsea strikers, it is reported that the Blues are open to selling Timo Werner this summer to fund a move for either Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku.

The German endured a tricky first campaign at Stamford Bridge, netting just 12 goals. With four years left on his current deal, Chelsea are seemingly happy to discuss an exit according to The Mirror.

Arsenal agree personal terms with Tammy Abraham

Reports claim Arsenal will agree to Tammy Abraham’s personal terms and are ready to sell an experienced striker to fund a move for the Chelsea man.

The 23-year-old appears surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge after slipping down the pecking order. He looked set for a stellar Blues career after his breakthrough season of 2019-2020. The Londoner bagged 18 goals from 47 appearances in all competitions.

And the Emirates outfit are willing to pay that amount, according to The Express. There is still confusion about his price tag.

Lukaku price tag revealed

Chelsea will have to submit an offer of at least £102.5m if they are to resign Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to reports.

The Belgian, who was sold by Chelsea for just £28m in 2014, has excelled at Inter Milan, scoring 64 goals in 95 appearances following his move from Manchester United in 2019.

As a result, Lukaku has emerged as a potential transfer target for the Blues, who are in the market for a striker after Timo Werner’s disappointing debut campaign.

According to Tuttosport, though, Inter want to keep hold of their talisman – despite their precarious financial situation – and would demand a nine-digit fee if any club was intent on prising him away.

Erling Haaland's Borussia Dortmund return,We start with a few bits you may have missed from yesterday.

Erling Haaland returned to Borussia Dortmund's line-up in their 2-0 loss to Athletic Club despite the Chelsea transfer links.

“Great to be back out on the pitch again,” he tweeted.

Make of that what you will…
