The new season is right around the corner, and Chelsea have only made one new signing as things stand.

The Blues have bought in a new backup goalkeeper, free agent Marcus Bettinelli, and they have been linked with an array of other names coming in.

The belief is that Chelsea want to sign a new striker as a priority this summer, but then they are also heavily linked with defenders, midfielders, and even wide right players during this window.

Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea are looking to build a squad that can compete for the Premier League title this season, after having won the Champions League last season.

They need to improve on some performances from last season and also look to have more finesse in front of goal. But as things stand, with no new arrivals, I decided to ask Chelsea fans will the current squad be enough to compete for the Premier League title this season, or if not, then what exactly is needed for them to do this?

As things stand we are no closer to getting any new signings although there have been strong links to the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Erling Haaland, Jules Kounde, Declan Rice, Aurelien Tchouameni just to name a few.

So what do we need to compete?

Bearing in mind this poll has a little bit of time left yet, so please do check back in on it later on.

However, here are the results so far from almost 5,000 voters, which is a good selection..

As it stands, 58% of voters believe we need to just sign a proven striker to compete for the league title.

26% believe we need a new centre back, midfielder, and a striker to compete.

14% believe we need just a new midfielder and a striker.

And just 5% of voters believe we will compete for the league title if we stay with what we have.
