Bayern Munich head-coach Julian Nagelsmann has said that the German club are not in talks to secure the services of Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger.

The reigning Bundesliga champions have been rumoured with a free transfer for the defender, who is out of a deal at Stamford Bridge next summer. Real Madrid and Juventus are also believed to be interested in offering Rudiger a pre-contract contract in January.

Nagelsmann said in a press conference on Thursday: “I haven’t spoken to [Bayern sporting director] Brazzo [Salihamidzic] about it and if I did, I wouldn’t tell you either. “I just read that in the media as well. I’ll have to see when the contract expires and then I’ll see if I still have money in my wallet.”

German international Rudiger has played 156 games for the Blues since signing from Serie A giants AS Roma in 2017 Meanwhile, Rudiger has said that he is not rushing into signing a new deal with West London giants, as it will be “the most important decision” of his career.

For me, this will now be the most important decision of my professional career. I haven’t spoken to any other club than Chelsea”, he told Sky Deutschland.
