The Antonio Rudiger contract situation is no closer to being finalised either way as things stand, but there is some good news for Chelsea fans who want the German international to stay at the club.

As always with these situations you are going to have rumours and stories surrounding it, and many have piped up with their reports and views on the situation. A couple of rumours have been put to bed today, as far as BILD’s Christian Falk is concerned anyway.

He claims that it is ‘not true’ that Rudiger has already agreed a contract to join Real Madrid or Bayern Munich next summer, despite reports on the contrary. He also dismisses rumours that Rudiger has received an offer of £400k-a-week wages from Bayern Munich.

What I find quite entertaining about this is Falk has tagged Marca and The Daily Mail in his tweet, who I assume were the sources of the information that he is claiming is incorrect!

NOT TRUE ❌ is that @ToniRuediger decided against a new contract at @ChelseaFC and decided already for a Transfer to @realmadrid or @FCBayern ( @marca ). Also NOT TRUE ❌ is that @FCBayern offered Rüdiger a salary of 400000£ a week ( @DailyMailUK ) pic.twitter.com/yMZGnkAIGI — Christian Falk (@cfbayern) September 29, 2021
