Chelsea is among a number of clubs keeping a close eye on 19-year-old Ajax star Ryan Gravenberch, according to Fichajes.

The young Netherlands international came through the ranks at the Eredivisie giants and is now an established player in their first team. His performances haven’t gone unnoticed with the likes of Juventus and Barcelona also showing interest in landing his services.

In spite of his age, Gravenberch already has 71 matches for the club, netting 10 goals and eight assists in the process. The player is also a full international for his country’s national side, winning seven caps while netting once.

The west Londoners already have a decent variety of midfield players to choose from in Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, and Mateo Kovacic. Saul Niguez recently came to the London giants on a loan deal but it remains to be seen if he’ll impress enough for the club to make the deal permanent.

While Kante isn’t getting any younger, Jorginho’s lack of pace in his game is an Achilles heel. Saul, meantime, is yet to impress. Securing Ryan will land Chelsea a premium talent who could be a mainstay for the Blues in the years to come. The talent is a hot prospect in Europe and it could take as much as €75 million (£64 million) to sign him.
