Premier League duo Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly initiated shock talks with Chelsea contract rebel Antonio Rudiger who could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge next summer.

The Germany international has been unable to agree on extended terms with Thomas Tuchel’s camp beyond the next summer with either party unwilling to budge on their demands on the wage front.

Rudiger is free to discuss pre-contract terms with his suitors in January and the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have been backed to be leading the race to land his signature from Chelsea.

Reports from The Daily Express have suggested that Chelsea’s rivals in England’s top flight Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have also joined the fray and are credited with a strong interest in securing his signing.

The 28-year-old central defender had been one of the top names shortlisted by the then Spurs boss Jose Mourinho before he was given the sack by the North London outfit and Rudiger eventually became a key part of the Blues teamsheet under Tuchel’s charge.
