The London giants are set to make their move for Florian Wirtz. Germany international, valued at €100m by Bayer Leverkusen, is also being courted by Real Madrid. The 18-year-old playmaker is widely regarded as one of the most talented young footballers in Europe.

The German attacker has made a stunning impact for the Bundesliga giants since making his first-team debut last year. Since then, Wirtz has proven to be the successor for Kai Havertz, who joined the Blues in the summer of 2020.

Florian has already broken into the German national side and has started the 2021/22 campaign well, with seven goals and as many assists in 14 games across all tournaments. Some of the biggest teams in Europe have duly noticed the footballer’s progress, with Chelsea and Real Madrid being among his suitors.

Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, and Christian Pulisic are all facing uncertain futures at Chelsea. The departure of any of the footballers will prompt the Blues to enter the market for an attacking reinforcement. And the German, with his ability to play across the front-line, is an option worth considering for the Blues.

The Blues are set to step up their efforts to sign Florian, valued at nearly €100m by Bayer Leverkusen. Such a development has put Real Madrid on red alert in his pursuit, and it will be interesting to see if they respond with an appealing offer for the Bundesliga club.
