Chelsea 'prove decisive' in Adama Traore transfer race as Kingsley Coman attempt made

Chelsea are one of few teams still fighting on all four fronts this season and Thomas Tuchel may turn to the transfer market to bolster his squad. The Blues are facing a defensive exodus this summer, with a host of players seeing their contracts at the club expire, but there's plenty of other rumours floating around. While Chelsea may be blessed with an array of attacking talent, it appears Tuchel still wants improvements given the latest reports.

One player who has emerged on the rumour mill is Wolves winger Adama Traore, with it stated that Chelsea have entered the running for the former Barcelona man. The winger has been heavily touted for a move to Tottenham in the mid-season window, while a return to Catalonia has also been said to be on the cards. While it's indicated that Antonio Conte's Spurs are leading the hunt for the Spaniard, late interest from Chelsea and Marina Granovskaia could prove to be decisive. Elsewhere, another wide target on the agenda for Chelsea is Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman as L'Equipe via Sport Witness names the Blues alongside Manchester City as two sides who have made attempts to sign the Frenchman.

However, such a move seems to be unlikely as contract negotiations between Coman and the Bavarian side, which have rumbled on for a year, are now 'closer than ever' to being finalised. Finally, Antonio Rudiger's exit from Chelsea at the end of the season appears to be set in stone as Talksport state the German defender has no interest in penning a new deal. A host of top European sides are said to have submitted proposals to Rudiger, who is believed to favour a move to Real Madrid.
