Chelsea forward Kai Havertz got the opener for Germany in the 2-0 friendly win over Israel on Saturday. The 22-year-old has now scored five goals in his last five games for club and country, which has led to a number of fans on Twitter praising him for his recent performances:

Absolute bargain. Within the next decade, we will be talking about this guy the same way we speak about Zidane. — GNO*CFC*⭐⭐ (@gnocfc) March 27, 2022

It really does feel like Havertz has finally found his groove, and it will be a big boost for the Blues if he continues to play this well for the rest of the campaign.

The German did struggle for form at the beginning of the season but, with 11 goals and five assists in 35 appearances, we are seeing why the Blues decided to pay £72m for him.

Havertz has already shown with his winning goals in the Champions League and Club World Cup finals over the last year that he can come up with big moments, but we may be about to see him blossom into one of the Premier League’s very best players.
