Chelsea host Watford in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday afternoon. The Blues will be looking to end the campaign on a high, although they have nothing to play for going into the fixture.

The 1-1 draw with Leicester on Thursday all but secured third spot, with fourth-placed Tottenham three points behind with a far inferior goal difference. Their opponents also have nothing but pride to play for with relegation to the Championship confirmed weeks ago.

Chelsea have a number of injury concerns heading into the clash at Stamford Bridge with Timo Werner, Andreas Christensen and Mateo Kovacic all facing late fitness tests. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ben Chilwelll have both been ruled out.

Thiago Silva was a doubt before Thursday’s clash with Leicester after the Brazilian suffered from cramp during extra time of the Blues’ FA Cup final defeat to Liverpool. However, he recovered sufficiently enough to start against the Foxes and lasted the full 90 minutes.

And Chelsea’s official Twitter account has hinted that he will also be available for their clash with Watford as well. As pictured below, the club posted an image of the 37-year-old looking ready for action with match details also featured.

The Blues’ post certainly indicates that Silva will play some part against the Hornets as clubs don’t tend to post a picture of a player in conjunction with an upcoming game if they’re not available. However, it remains to be seen if he will start or if Tuchel will opt to give one of the club’s youngsters an opportunity to impress.
