Chelsea are currently the frontrunners to sign Everton forward Richarlison, according to reports in the English media. Tottenham have been heavily linked with the Brazilian international, along with Arsenal, but the Blues are seemingly still in contention to sign the player.

There have been conflicting claims about how serious Chelsea’s interest is in Richarlison, but most fans on Twitter believe he would be a better option than some of the other forwards that have been mentioned as targets recently:

If it happens, great…much better than Lukaku. Plus with Richarlson he is versatile, can play wide too…. So yup, fingers crossed.. — chelseaforlife (@chelseatobeal) June 20, 2022

If he won't cost us £50m I'm okay with it. — AYO (@Ayo_thegreat) June 20, 2022

Him over Sterling for me. — GCT (@GoodChelsTakes) June 20, 2022

Honestly I prefer him to Gabriel Jesus. I wish it can work out — Chimãobi'm (@derrimore24) June 20, 2022

A lot will depend on Everton’s asking price. The figure varies depending on which source you read, with the lowest number quoted being £50m, with the highest €80m (£69m)

With Raheem Sterling expected to cost £45m , and Gabriel Jesus likely to be available for a similar amount, it looks as if Richarlison would be the most expensive to sign. With that being the case, Chelsea may still decide against firming up their interest in the Everton forward.
